Use of the PDQ Precision Ltd website and any products and services supplied to you by PDQ Precision Ltd constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions with immediate effect. PDQ Precision Ltd reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time and will post changes on this page.

Contracting parties and contact information

By placing an order, you will be entering into a legally binding contract with PDQ Precision Ltd for the supply of our products or subcontract services.

Order acceptance

Once you have accepted our quotation via telephone, email or other digital channel a contract will come into existence between you and PDQ Precision Ltd. If we are unable to accept your order, we will inform you of this as quickly as possible. This may happen if the product you require is out of stock or because of unexpected limits on our resources.

We retain the right to refuse to accept your order solely at our discretion. If there is concern that there is an attempt to place an order dishonestly, fraudulently, by impersonating someone else or by attempting to use payment details which have been stolen, we will make additional checks and if appropriate will involve external authorities.

Collection and delivery

We collect issue material and components if we have a vehicle in the area and is convenient for the company to do so an no additional charge. Should a special trip be required to collect, this will be chargeable as part of the delivery price for the parts and is in addition to any price quoted.

Third party sub-contract suppliers

If we are unable to provide your service we may recommend an alternative supplier, however PDQ Precision Ltd hold no responsibility for the products or services provided by any other business.

PDQ Precision Ltd hold no responsibility for work carried out on the customer’s parts by any third-party suppliers unless the works were exclusively sub-contracted by PDQ Precision Ltd.

Liabilities and responsibilities

PDQ Precision Ltd hold no responsibility for damage to any equipment, machinery or vehicle due to mechanical failures outside of the works described on our supplied quotation.

Once the product has been supplied, you will become liable for any loss or damage to the product unless such loss or damage was caused by PDQ Precision Ltd.

With the exception of warranty, removed parts will be disposed of by PDQ Precision Ltd. Disposal will be in accordance with current environmental regulations and legislative requirements. A fee may be charged for this service if the part contains hazardous waste.

PDQ Precision Ltd hold Employers’ Liability Insurance to the value of £5M.

Payment and ownership

Our first business with a new client will require payment immediately upon completion of any parts or process as outlined within the quotation. Subsequent credit terms can be agreed with prior consent up to 30 days from date of invoice only. Any credit facility can be reduced or removed at any time and with no reason or for warning.

Non-payment shall incur a weekly compound interest charge of 5% per week following written instruction of non-payment. You may pay by bank transfer or business cheque payable to PDQ Precision Limited.

We are VAT registered and are required to charge VAT at the prevailing UK rate (Registered number: GB 128 5950 90).

All products supplied remain the property of PDQ Precision Ltd until paid for in full although this retention of ownership will not affect any claim which we may have against you for the payment of any overdue amount.

Licensing and legals

The customer is responsible for ensuring all copyright and usage permissions has been obtained when supplying drawings photography, illustration or any other works to PDQ Precision Ltd.

PDQ shall own all rights to any intellectual property including designs, drawings or concepts produced whilst undertaking customers products including tooling and final product. Payment by customers for goods or services does not give or imply ownership of any intellectual property supplied or produced by PDQ Precision Ltd.

Non-disclosure

PDQ Precision Ltd respects the commercial operations of its customers and will endeavour to keep specific customer information out of the public domain. The use of individual non-disclosure agreements is accepted by PDQ Precision Ltd and can be signed and honoured within the limitations of British legal requirements and specific reference to individual projects only.

Responsibilities

It is the customers responsibility to ensure their staff have the authority to place orders with PDQ Precision Ltd and that all drawings, models and technical information is sufficient and correct for the production of the required part or service.

Amendments

The customer agrees that requested revisions that are over and above the original estimated work or required to be carried out after acceptance of the original parts will be liable to a separate charge. PDQ Precision Ltd accepts no responsibility for any amendments made by any third party, before or after a part has been produced.

Timescales

Any indication given by PDQ Precision Ltd of a completion date of a purchase order is to be considered by the customer to be an estimation. Estimated delivery should be deemed to be from the date that a purchase order or other instruction is received by PDQ Precision Ltd.

Portfolio and social media

The customer grants PDQ Precision Ltd permission to use photographs and project information freely on our website, any general marketing or on our social media unless specifically requested otherwise.

Cancellations

Cancellation of orders may be made initially by telephone contact, or e-mail, however, PDQ Precision Ltd will then issue an invoice for all work completed including material that has been ordered. The balance must be paid within 30 days.

Guarantee

Every effort is made by PDQ Precision Ltd to produce a quality product which is to correct drawing. Should any complete parts manufactured by PDQ Precision Ltd be found to be incorrect PDQ Precision Ltd will either re-machine if possible or remanufacture as quickly as capacity allows.

PDQ Precision Ltd does not accept liability for any material or manufacturing operations pre any subcontract machining undertaken by PDQ Precision Ltd. Incorrect subcontract machining will be offered as a free of charge service for replacement parts supplied by the customer.

Any claims of incorrect parts or services will only be accepted if made with 14 days from date of invoice. No claims will be accepted after this time.

Complaints procedure

If you have a complaint or are not satisfied with the service or product you have received from PDQ Precision Ltd , please contact us directly using the contact details provided on our contact page. You must afford us a reasonable opportunity to remedy the problem and you must take reasonable steps to minimise or avoid any loss or damage which may arise.
